Assistant Coach, Women’s Volleyball

The Assistant Coach for Women’s Volleyball supports the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the Women’s Volleyball program at Cornell University. This includes assisting with team practice and competitions, and providing input on player evaluation and other decisions concerning team operations. The Assistant Coach actively scouts opponents and breaks down the performance of our own student athletes. The Assistant Coach also has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach.


Required Qualifications

  • Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes
  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and a relentless recruiter
  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.
  • Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with video editing preferred
  • Collegiate coaching experience preferred, especially in NCAA Division I

This is a 10-months per year, full-time position. There is no visa sponsorship available for this position. Starting salary range for this 10-month position is $48,000 - $49,000.
