Job Description

As the Assistant Center Manager, you will act as the face and personality of the center. Your role will be mainly administrative, but also include marketing, business, and education related tasks.



We pride ourselves in creating a positive and growth focused environment with ongoing training where all employees feel supported. We also prefer to promote internally, so there are always opportunities for growth.

We post about these events which hopefully gives a brief view of the culture we have created within our four centers. We currently operate Smithtown, Miller Place, Bay Shore, and Patchogue. The centers are independently owned and operated as a franchise under the Huntington Learning Center name, and we are proud to be a locally owned small business on Long Island.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Helping students in their learning experience

Managing the teaching staff and students

Scheduling

Answering calls

Accepting payments

Explaining our educational programs

Building marketing partnerships

Going to marketing events

Growing the center through marketing

Collaborating new ideas

Fostering a safe and inviting environment


Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bachelor’a degree or higher

High level of organization

Team player

Prior experience working with children in some capacity

Ability to work Monday through Thursday 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM and Saturday 9:00PM to 1:00 PM

Some basic knowledge on Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel

Basic Adobe Acrobat use

Basic Zoom functions

We will provide assistance and training on all job related functions, including Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Adobe as needed


Compensation

This is a full time position which offers paid time off of 80 hours per year vacation and 40 hours sick

After a waiting period you will be eligible for health benefits

Commission structure built on rewarding new and innovative ideas to grow the center

Base pay beginning at $39,500 to $43,600
