About the role:
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for assisting branch management with the daily operations of the designated branch. Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service for consumer and corporate clients, promoting the bank's products and services, increasing branch sales to achieve quarterly goals, and manage the branch employee's daily activities. Branch operations responsibilities include the coaching and development of staff to increase performance potential.
Duties and responsibilities of the job include the following (but is not limited too):
- Responsible for opening and closing of branch and other security duties in accordance with established procedures; assumes full responsibility of branch management in the Market Sales Manager's absence.
- Responsible for extensive customer service to ensure highest quality service by responding to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints; review and approve exceptions as authorized; perform account opening and other customer transactions as needed.
- Manages all levels of Branch staff in daily operations, including recruitment, training, performance management and discipline of staff; conduct staff meetings to ensure two-way communication with staff.
- Assists the Market Sales Manager/Branch Operations Manager in managing branch operations in compliance with organization and government guidelines to ensure proper controls are maintained and new business is developed.
Other Functions
- Represents the Bank in the community to position the Bank as a provider of choice of financial services.
- Responsible for the appearance of the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred experience, education, and qualifications:
- Perform quality work within determined timeframes
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers, vendors and shareholders
- 3+ years' experience in retail branch environment; 1-year management experience
- Work on ad-hoc tasks, assignments and projects as needed
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, departments, divisions, etc.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Potential Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 annually
This salary range only reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
