Assistant Athletic Director Jobs

We are looking for a highly adaptable Assistant Athletic Director to support our Athletic Department. They will need to have a passion for athletics and developing the potential in our student athletes. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching, working in athletics and teaching Physical Education and/or Health. This position may also be required to teach 1-2 Physical Education and/or Health classes as needed.

The position is salaried (exempt) with a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, depending on relative experience and is based on a twelve-month schedule with summer work expectations and benefits and vacation determined per the Staff Handbook. This position requires an ability to work flexible hours including weekend and evening work. Candidates should demonstrate experience and willingness to grow in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment; and possess a growth mindset, sense of humor, and genuine interest in making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Overall support for the day to day running of the Athletic Department;
• Manage and source online store for SAAS gear and apparel;
• A desire, interest, and enthusiasm for working with middle and high school-aged students;
• Ability to, and enthusiasm for, coaching a sport every season;
• Oversee and run the Athletic Department social media pages;
• May be required to teach one- two Physical Education classes to middle and high school students as needed.
• Coordinate the new developmental program for student athletes;
• Coordinate Media Days for all teams each season;

Required Experience:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
• Minimum three years experience coaching a sport and/or teaching Physical Education.
• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Administration, Physical Education or a closely related field.
