While reporting to the Lead, you will be responsible for meeting all safety requirements for assigned equipment, meeting all quality requirements for assembled reels and troubleshooting quality issues such as high nails, knots, hoes etc.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Meeting all safety requirements for assigned equipment
• Ensuring good housekeeping practices with a 5S work environment
• Assembling parts together with adhesives, bolts, screws or other fasteners
• Troubleshooting quality issues (high nails, knots holes etc.)
• Removing small quantities of flashing using files, scrapers or sanders
• Maintaining all tools and equipment for proper working condition
• Consistently understanding and meeting customer requirements
• Meeting all quality requirements for assembled reels
• Cutting, grinding and trimming a variety of parts
• Using basic tools like sanders/grinders, breaker bars, hammers and air guns.

This position is in our Reels plant in beautiful Chatham VA. We are producing Reels

• You will need to have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being quality focused is a must.
• Having the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial to success.
• You will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.
• You will need to have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures and be able to correctly follow housekeeping policies.
• To succeed in this role you will need excellent language, mathematical and reasoning skills.
• You will need to able to perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time.
