Guides, assists, and supports coworkers and performs repetitive assembly operations such as wire harness fabrication, cable assembly, control module assembly, wire and connector crimping, and wire identification. Supports mass-production of products such as Galleys & Closets, etc. for commercial transport aircraft. Must be able to work within the time constraints of the master production schedule and meet requirements dictated by the customer.

• Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads and applying terminal caps
• Studies plans and engineering drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of assemblies
• Prepares and organizes tools and materials for use in the area
• Works at different workstations as production needs require
• Exhibits all effort required to ensure first time quality
• Promotes cooperation and positive communication with coworkers
• Performs acceptance test procedures (ATP) as required
• Connects wiring to electrical fixtures and equipment
• Understands the requirements of using calibrated tools when specified
• Requisitions stockroom parts as required
• Reports any defect to quality assurance and manufacturing engineers
• Measures, cuts, threads, and assembles electrical routing materials
• Ensures materials being used are specific to approved work orders, engineering drawings and specifications
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment
• Understands production schedule and ensures work is completed on time to meet company objectives & customer demands
• Maintains safe and effective use of all machine and hand tools in the electrical area
• Required to use and read blueprints, wiring diagrams and verbal and written work instructions to assemble or rework components
• Tasks vary as different units’ complete certain phases of production
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and minimizes waste of materials
• Assembles control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels

• Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

• High School Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• 2-3 Years of relative experience is preferred
