The Opportunity


Lead and drive the Team's safety, machine, quality, delivery and cost (SMQDC) performance, through team members development, in order that the Activity reaches the objectives of customer satisfaction. Participate with the team to guarantee the implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools.


Anderson: Come join our team at one of the largest rubber manufacturing sites in the world located in Anderson, SC. Our plants produce rubber for all types and sizes of tires (passenger car, light truck, truck, mining) as well as metallic and textile tissue products and bead wire. Every single Michelin tire manufactured in North America contains a product manufactured at our Anderson plant!


What You Will Do


  • Provide leadership, support, and direction to 30-50 production operators.
  • Work closely with maintenance, quality and continuous improvement teams to meet both daily production and annual productivity goals.
  • Develop and implement employee coaching plans and work alongside your team to enhance their capabilities through effective performance management.
  • Identification and implementation of process improvements.
  • Monitor the short and long-term needs of the facility to ensure succession needs are met and employees are afforded opportunities for development.
  • Effective budget management of your area.
  • Participate in creating and fulfilling the annual progress plan by developing and leading towards key performance indicators.


What You Will Bring


  • Exceptional communication and team leadership skills
  • Minimum of Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred, equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Prefer knowledge and/or practice of Lean methodology as it applies to manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of progressive people management experience achieving excellent results
  • Successful employee performance management (attendance, productivity, skill development, and talent management)
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and lead upwards, peers and direct reports
