Job Description
Wider Circle is looking for an Area Manager to join our circle and play a vital role in running Connect for Life, our groundbreaking program that connects neighbors for better health, empowering them to live longer, healthier lives while finding joy in one another’s company. The successful candidate will radiate confidence while being a gracious host, skillfully switching between facilitation and operations management. If you are passionate about serving your community and making connections, then come join a veteran team backed by blue-chip investors in our movement to battle healthcare inequity.

Responsibilities

Wider Circle’s Area Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing Medicare programs as outlined by the Leadership team - including, developing, implementing, and maintaining documentation to support daily operations, managing a team of field operators, and other duties as necessary to ensure compliance with Medicare contracts in California.

Successful candidates must possess exceptional operational and organizational skills, as well as the ability to successfully handle multiple projects at a time. The goal of this role is to ensure on-the-ground operational support for the Connect for Life program.

  • You will organize onboarding and on-the-job training for Community Engagement Specialists and Leads
  • You will serve as a liaison, connecting members to their health plans and each other
  • You will support Community Engagement Specialists and Leads as they run the Connect For Life program, using Wider Circle developed curriculum to build trust, promote health, and encourage movement
  • You will help plan and host virtual and in-person events for members, fostering relationships with and between members to help encourage wellness outcomes
  • You will create partnerships with local community-based organizations to bring additional services to our members’ attention
  • You will connect with prospective members and develop individualized plans for them to enroll in the Connect For Life program
  • You will work with Community Engagement Specialists and Leads to reach out to members to check in on them and encourage participation in Connect for Life Chapter events and other small and large group activities, ensuring members engage with us every month
  • You will record details of your interactions with members on a computer, tablet, or smartphone
  • You will be the first line of defense in helping Community Engagement Specialists and Leads solve their daily needs - scheduling/event needs, technical issues, etc.
  • You will hold yourself and your field team accountable for achieving membership engagement and growth goals, monitoring the success of the program by tracking attendance and feedback
  • You will help Community Engagement Specialists and Leads identify members who are natural leaders that can serve as Wider Circle Ambassadors to help connect with members and run events

Requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once, while maintaining agility, strict attention to detail and forward momentum.
  • 4-5 years of experience in operations and management within a healthcare setting (health plan, managed care organization, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in management, healthcare related field, or equivalent experience of at least 4 years
  • Medicare experience a plus
  • Exceptional working knowledge of GSuite and Salesforce

Benefits

As a venture-backed company, Wider Circle offers competitive compensation including:

  • Basic Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Training and Development
  • 401(k) Plan
  • Voluntary Disability Benefits
  • Health Care FSA
  • Dependent Care FSA
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision
  • Health Savings Account
  • Paid Time Off
  • Employee Assistance Program
