The Area Director role is responsible for the delivery of Sono Bello’s business objectives including monthly revenue and surgery volume targets, developing high performance and cohesive center teams, and overseeing the delivery of an exceptional patient experience across a regional territory made up of individual surgical and consult centers.


To qualify for consideration, candidates should have proven experience in multi-unit management, leading both sales and operations as well as building high functioning teams across a diverse geography. They should have a track record in performance management, leadership development, sales coaching, policy and procedure enforcement, managing communication from the field to corporate headquarters, and delivering outstanding business outcomes against KPIs.


Compensation consists of salary + bonus for achievement against metrics.


Key Area Director Responsibilities:


This role will require a highly driven and organized individual who is an exceptional communicator, influencer, and motivator across different individuals’ personalities and styles. The candidate will excel in a dynamic business environment and be comfortable with significant travel.


  • Proactively manage all aspects of operations and sales performance, including target setting and management, sales coaching, operational compliance, administration, and team communication.
  • Embody our “one team” approach by collaborating with peer management groups across the field leadership team, medical leadership, and national support teams.
  • As the “Eyes and Ears” of the field team, work with executive leadership to help develop market level strategies, tactics, and tools to address business, patient, and team member needs.
  • Consistently monitor and enforce proper sales, clinical, and operational process/procedure execution across the portfolio of centers.
  • Monitor patient engagement within the region and proactively address any communication escalations and customer service issues as appropriate.
  • Oversee, influence, and support strong team relationships across center level personnel within the region; share best practices and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Deliver the monthly business objectives for both the region in total as well as the individual centers.
  • Manage against a KPI scorecard, identify root drivers and levers of performance to increase impact, scale growth, or course correct over time.

  • Demonstrated leadership in developing direct reports and building a winning team culture; experience in performance managing remote teams across diverse positions.
  • Ability to travel ~60% of a month on average.
  • Leadership experience with a proven track record of achieving team sales goals and delivering operational excellence across a multi-unit portfolio of locations.
  • Maintains professionalism and poise constantly, even when working under
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize competing tasks, while also being flexible to change priorities if a situation requires (expect the unexpected)
  • Deep understanding of KPI management, with a history of sustained target achievement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with an ability to collaborate or leverage resources across internal functional teams (ex. National Support (Corporate), Medical Leadership, etc..).
  • Player-coach mentality – can both teach and “do” as the specific situation requires.
  • Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills; able to adjust approach to effectively work with diverse communication styles and preferences across direct reports and extended teams.
  • Ability to consistently implement and manage project, policy, and initiative execution across a multi-unit network.

Compensation package includes base salary plus bonus. Total compensation ranges between $170k-$180k+.
