In this role, you will not only serve as the project architect but also as the project manager, overseeing the entire architectural process from conception to completion. You will have the autonomy and independence that comes with being a project manager, along with the associated responsibilities.

At our company, we value individuals who hold themselves accountable and continuously strive for improvement. We believe that learning from mistakes is an essential part of personal and professional growth. As such, we are particularly interested in candidates who embrace a growth mindset and demonstrate a strong sense of personal responsibility. We encourage our team members to take ownership of their work, learn from their experiences, and proactively seek solutions to challenges that arise during projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review architectural plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Manage all aspects of architectural projects, including feasibility study, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration if applicable.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular project updates.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of codes, regulations, and zoning requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct site visits and coordinate with contractors to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure project requirements are met within budget and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their design goals, functional requirements, and budgetary constraints.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in design, documentation, and project management
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural software
  • Valid license to practice architecture
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record in project management, successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in residential, multi-family, mixed-use, and/or light commercial architecture
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and zoning requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • A positive attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality architectural solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members

Benefits

  • Paid time off including personal time, vacation, and holidays.
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
  • Company-paid dental insurance
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment
  • 50% of employee medical insurance paid by company
