We are seeking an energetic, confident, and highly motivated Architect to help grow our High-Rise sector and team in Bellevue, WA. This experienced professional is a fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture, and works with the Project Manager to proactively produce technical design aspects of assigned major projects, including the investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client’s needs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides professional architectural consultation from Schematic Design through building permit submittal and Construction Administration for high-rise projects.
- Reviews drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Coordinates all project architect related efforts and technical design, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects through all phases of development, including Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
- Assists in presentations to the client on technical and design solutions.
- Serves as the secondary contact liaison.
- Works collaboratively with other staff; may provide technical guidance to less experiences staff and can redline others' work.
- Maintains and grows client relationships.
- Actively monitors and ensures the schedule, budgets, and scope of work is brought to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
- Actively provides and monitors project communications, documentation, and project team assignments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Self-confident; tenacious while maintaining positive working relationships with clients, outside consultants, and technical staff.
- Strong skills in Revit/BIM REQUIRED; SketchUp modeling; NewForma program strongly preferred.
- Experienced in the development and monitoring of BIM execution plans REQUIRED.
- Adept at coordinating multiple consultants, both for architect and owner.
- Open to implementing 3rd party documentation assistance.
- Experienced in large Type 1, High- Rise projects and generating entitlement and building permit submissions REQUIRED.
- Commitment to their own professional growth as an architect.
- Experienced in Construction Documents and Construction Administration.
- Able to effectively and positively provide direction and lead architectural staff.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Active architectural license in the state of Washington REQUIRED.
- 8+ years of demonstrated relevant experience as an Architect and Project Architect.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without any restrictions or visa sponsorship.
- Graduate of a NAAB accredited 4 or 5 year architecture school.
- Experience with City of Bellevue entitlement and building permit process preferred.
