Job Description

APRN with Urology or Family Practice experience needed for a three physician clinic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtain pertinent information during the office visit as it relates to the patient’s history and urology visit.
  • Order and interpret laboratory test, preoperative testing, and radiology imaging studies, i.e., CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound.
  • After initial training, maintain a personal patient schedule seeing both new and existing patients.
  • Consult with the physicians to arrange a higher level of care that is outside the APP Scope of Practice, i.e., cystoscopies and surgeries.
  • Counsel patients about preventative care, documenting and signing all visit notes in the medical record.
  • Complete record findings and review results during the patient visit.
  • Perform physical examinations for both male and female patients.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to obtain and sustain clinical hospital privileges
  • Able to perform health care tasks in radiation oncology delegated by supervising physician efficiently and effectively consistent with patient’s health and welfare
  • Maintains certification in accordance with Department of Regulations
  • Ability to travel distances within the surrounding community
  • Good diagnostic capabilities
  • Maintain privileges at hospitals/institutions as required
  • Holds a current license and is in good standing
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
