Service Champions LA is looking to hire a Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This position requires the ability to assist on residential service calls consisting of troubleshooting, basic light and fan installation, service upgrades, and outlet replacement.
This is a full-time, non-exempt level position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate respect and compassion when communicating with clients on work performed and on recommendations for repairs or replacement
- Assist Lead Electrician with overall operations of the system as a whole.
- Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records
- Assist Lead Electrician with all types of HVAC systems and understand how each electrical component within the system operates
- Complete all tasks in accordance with Service Champion’s quality and safety standards
- Meet sales goals and metrics specific to apprentices
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (internal and/or external)
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to inspect, repair, and conduct maintenance on air conditioning systems, furnaces, coils, and compressors
- Assist Lead Electrician with setting units.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Exceptional written, math, and verbal communication skills
- High School diploma or equivalent required, college preferred
- Availability to work a variable schedule between the hours of 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, based upon business needs.
- Must possess a high energy, strong desire to achieve top results with a charismatic, positive “can-do" attitude over the phone and in person
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-discipline environment
- Satisfactory passing of mandatory pre-employment drug screen and background check
- 2 years of prior administrative experience within a service company, preferred, but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- May lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Speaking and hearing ability; heavy communication through talking and listening to employees and clients directly as well as through telephone conversations to resolve issues
- Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and type
