Job Description

Akkodis is seeking (Application Support)for a 6 Month Contract with a client in 100% Remote Ideally looking for applicants with a solid financial services background.


Role: Application Support

Location: 100% Remote

Pay Rate: $42/hr. on W2 without Benefits

Duration: 12+ months


Must Have

Property & Casualty

Personal Lines business and product understanding (including a solid understanding of terminology) is required; support for all business processes in all lines of business - auto, property, dwelling fire; powersports and personal umbrella; Guidewire PolicyCenter platform in use so familiarity with this package is mandatory.

Level 2 incident support and management for Personal Lines; ITSD provides level 1 so these issues are escalated from there (this team also develops the knowledge base that level 1 uses)

User Administration experience is helpful to support this role.


Tools

ServiceNow or any other ITSM tool experience

P&C Domain experience is required.

JIRA

Microsoft Teams and Office 365 suite

Comfortable with SQL

Guidewire PolicyCenter

Splunk, New Relic


Customer Service

Patience and strong communication skills are required; Independent Agents have many other options so the Nationwide brand must be strengthened when incidents are escalated

Attention to detail; tickets require correct data and must be closed in a timely manner

Research and debug with a focus on why something happened; a problem-solving mentality is needed - people who like to solve puzzles or take apart complex systems to understand how they work could be successful in this role

Access to Subject Matter Experts will be limited; need to be self-motivated and excited to dig into complex problems and work them to completion; most problems will be worked to resolution with or without involving business based on the situation. Critical thinking.

Collaborate with development teams to identify workarounds; engage customers to implement the workarounds to resolve incidents

Continuous improvement and automation; finding efficiencies and automating workflow will improve the overall effort of the team and positively impact customer experience; spotting trends in common issues will enable development teams to tackle priority defects in a timely manner.

The team is expected to rotate/flex to cover the west coast in the evenings.

Ability to work remotely with a team without face-to-face contact.
