Overview


GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking anApplication Analystin theHarrisburg, PAarea.

Position Overview

The Application Analyst is responsible for the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of the school’s hosted software and SAS applications in a hybrid environment. The Application Analyst will ensure the integrity, safety and availability of all data and applications as part of the school’s information systems and act as the technical point of contact to fix application and systems issues. The Application Analyst will ensure the applications, including the Student Information System and Learning Management System, function and run smoothly.


Responsibilities


The Application Analyst will be responsible for the satisfactory performance of the following tasks and responsibilities.

  • Update project management tools and can take full ownership of
  • Assist staff and families with second and third-level applications support.
  • Coordinate between staff, families, internal support, and vendor support.
  • Create documentation of processes performed, including current and new process.
  • Execute application upgrades, disaster recovery, integrations, and implementations.
  • Support users with limited knowledge of computers, software, hardware, and systems.
  • Become an expert of Learning Information System and/or Student Information System.


Minimum Qualifications


Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field and two (2) technical certifications preferred or an Associate Degree in a technical field and four (4) technical certifications (Example: CompTIA Core certs, MCSA, MTA etc.).

Experience Requirements:

  • Two (2) to four (4) years supporting educational industry applications.
  • Two (2) years of experience in desktop or information systems support.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Execute analytically sound approach in a productive and efficient manner.
  • Experience with software packages and current database languages.
  • Continuous improvement and self-development attitude.
  • Communicate effectively in customer-friendly terms verbally and in writing.
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as a member of the IT team.
  • Strong foundational IT skills and proficiency in application management.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks.

Essential Functions / Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Must reside in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Ability to pass the background checks required for all school employees in Pennsylvania.
  • This position could include limited travel and could include limited overnight travel.

Physical Requirements/Environment:

  • Ability to work every Monday through Friday during normal work hours, as well as infrequentextended hours and attendance at scheduled evening meetings.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, and communicate (vision, hearing, and speech).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to independently read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language.
  • Effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to be able to work with computers and associated equipmentas well as read and interpret handwritten documents.
  • Ability to independently ambulate.
  • Ability to travel to and from assigned work locations without employer support.
