Job Summary:


Investigates, reviews, and assists in the resolution of complaints and appeals involving benefit coverage issues.


Job Location: Remote work is not available in AK, MT, HI (US) and Quebec, Nunavut, NW Territories, Yukon (Canada)


Main Responsibilities:


  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Prepares correspondence advising of appeal determination.
  • Contacts veterinary clinics to secure medical records and discuss difficult cases with clinic staff. Logs and tracks complaints and appeals.
  • Interprets previous claims decisions in compliance with terms, conditions and regulatory guidelines which may include reading/interpreting veterinary medical records and lab reports.
  • May re-process claims requiring adjustment.
  • Researches, reviews, and resolves reconsideration of previous claim determinations.


Qualifications:


  • Adjusters License or must obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
