Animal Shelter Attendant-Pt Jobs

Duties at the kennel include, but not limited to, cleaning and disinfects cages; general clean-up and sanitation of the facility, property and equipment; Feeding, watering, bathing, grooming and exercising all animals housed at the shelter; Observing the animals' general health, diet, weight, appetite, etc., for negative symptoms; transports animals to and from the veterinarian office for check-ups, shots, other examinations and treatment; may assist with training of animals; performs routine clerical work in keeping records of animals being housed; answers the phone. etc.; performs all other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have some experience with animals; must possess a valid New Jersey Driver's License and maintain the license throughout employment; will be required to work a schedule that contains evenings, weekends, and holidays; must be able to lift or move up to 100lbs. occasionally, 50lbs. frequently, and 20lbs. constantly; must be able to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, and complete repetitive motions on a regular basis; must have computer and filing skills.
