Android Audio Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Enable end to end calling on Android based device.
  • Debug the issues related to audio.
  • Enable Bluetooth, and other needed interfaces.
  • Integrating Audio algorithms in Android framework.

Skills or Experience Required:

  • Good understanding of Android audio frameworks.
  • Understanding of tinyAlsa, Audio FE/BE, machine driver. Understanding of audio codec integration/flow.
  • Good knowledge on Android audio effects interface and integration.
  • Understanding of JNI interface for implementation of native.
  • Understanding of audio data and control flow from playback and capture application to the corresponding audio devices.
  • Good understanding of Android Selinux and implementation of Sepolicies.
  • Understanding of AIDL, HIDL and experience implementing Android system services.
  • Hand-on experience with Android debugging tools and bug report analysis.
  • Experience in AudioTrack handling, AudioMixer, Audio Policy, AudioFlinger and Audio HAL.
  • Sound knowledge on Audio formats, able to understand and analyze audio data.
