Job Description
As the Analyst, OEM Protection & Membership Operations you will ensure that our OEM protection contracts are creating and functioning as intended for vendors such as Apple, Microsoft, and Samsung. This role additionally supports Best Buy Protection contracts as part of our Membership program. A successful candidate for this role must demonstrate the ability to analyze large data sets and make correlations between reporting data and subscription system statuses to articulate gaps in plan integrity. With this knowledge the candidate must show excellent written and verbal communication skills to inform leadership how the desired customer experience and/or business outcome fell short of expectation. This fast paced, team-oriented role is at the center of Best Buy’s Membership operations growing capability. This role provides opportunities to engage cross-functionally with numerous BBY systems, businesses, and operations teams. This candidate must enjoy combining business strategy with data analytics and technical systems to explain plan performance and issues.


What You’ll Do


  • Effectively quantify, document, and communicate system errors for OEM protection contracts
  • Remediate activation, update, renewal, and other plan life-cycle event errors
  • Deconstruct and document subscription system errors to determine root cause
  • Support retail and cross-function teams’ escalations via support mailboxes and BBY system queues
  • Identify and triage Subscription Management system errors
Basic Qualifications:


  • 2+ years corporate operational and/or system root cause analysis
  • Solid problem solving, analytical skills, data curiosity, data mining.
  • Summarizing business and contract opportunities in BBY subscription management systems
  • 1+ years of running and modifying a Microsoft Access Database
  • 1+ years of experience managing multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite, Excel, PowerPoint
  • 1+ years of building graphs, power query, and xlookups
Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience building business cases
  • SQL reporting query building (t-sql and SQL developer)
  • Vendor relationship experience
