About The Marketing Insights Team


Morgan Stanley's Marketing Research team is a driver of customer & sales force insights and decision support for the entire organization. The Analyst will be a core part of our Firmwide Research and Insights team.


Role Summary


This position will have the opportunity to work on a variety of brand strategy market research initiatives across the organization as well as competitive intelligence insights. In particular, candidates must have a keen interest in translating data (both quantitative and qualitative) into actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders. This person should display solid communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, commitment to quality, and demonstrated initiative.


Responsibilities


  • BS, MS or MBA in Marketing/Marketing Sciences, Market Research, Statistics or Psychology
  • Partner with internal and external partners on quantitative and qualitative survey research techniques
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple simultaneous assignments real-time, as well as manage to tight time constraints
  • Excellent writing skills, presentation skills and social awareness/people skills
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to translate data/insights into a comprehensive narrative for internal stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with ambiguity
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SPSS/SAS statistical software
  • Ability to manage survey programming independently and assist with the day-to-day operations of facilitating various research initiatives
  • Draft questionnaires/discussion guides for quantitative and qualitative studies based on business objectives to be addressed
  • Strong team player and collaborator


Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 68,000 and 90,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
