Salary Range: $60k-$80k + bonus eligible
Location: This role is remote eligible. However, we have offices in Washington, DC, and NYC, and would be thrilled if you wanted to relocate and work with us in person. Our in-office teams come together for collaborative work in the office Tuesday through Thursday and work remotely on Monday and Friday.

Your Mission:
Your mission is to oversee our daily IT operations which includes helping to troubleshoot our team members’ technology issues, coordinate with vendors and monitor our security and compliance systems, aiming to reach and maintain SOC 2 Type II compliance.

You’ll be a critical part of our Product and Technology team and you will report to our awesome Chief Technology Officer, Chris Getner.

As a result of your time in this role, you developed your tech skills in enterprise resource management. This included managing vendors, helping to select key systems for us, and coordinating routine operations and cutting-edge security infrastructure details. Your contributions had a meaningful impact on the ability for our team to scale. The added bonus? Your efforts in electrifying fleets have made a substantial impact on combating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, paving the way for a decarbonized planet for future generations to enjoy.

What You'll Be Responsible For In Your Role:

  • Create and drive a scalable hardware procurement and management system
  • Develop and implement policies and processes to keep pace with our growing team
  • Act as the primary point of escalation when issues fall beyond the scope or performance of the MSP or MSSP
  • Continuously monitor and remediate of system controls and policies related to SOC 2 Type II certification
  • Facilitate vendor relationships with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) to ensure top-quality, timely service to teammates and our IT security processes
  • Act as the primary point of contact with security and compliance teams to develop and maintain privacy and governance initiatives

Who You Are:

  • You patiently understand that your colleagues are not as technology savvy as you and are able to explain to them in plain English how they can address the various tech challenges they’re having
  • You have comfort around working in the Azure cloud ecosystems, and have extensive experience working in and managing Office 365 platforms
  • You are knowledgeable in IT security and compliance principles, particularly in SOC 2
  • You are highly organized and skilled in coordinating activities with both in-person and remote teammates, as well as third-party vendors
  • You have knowledge of both Apple and Windows desktop management and experience providing support to your teammates on both systems
  • You are known as a helper and like to make other peoples’ lives easier
  • You have 2-3 years of IT support experience
