MSA Security, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Air Cargo Compliance Specialist. The Air Cargo Compliance Specialist will contribute to the successful management of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) -regulated national canine screening program with multiple ongoing projects and regular reporting to the TSA. The individual in this position should possess an analytical perspective and be able to draw conclusions from information. The job requires organizational skills pertinent to the storage, retrieval, and auditing of records across multiple systems to maintain regulatory compliance. This role may be required to respond to incidents or customer inquiries during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee the daily reporting requirements from each regulated site
- Work with the Explosive Detection Canine (EDC) Handlers and EDC Supervisors to ensure they are effectively meeting TSA program requirements, and are also having their own requirements met with responsiveness
- Detect and implement productivity improvement measures, such as automation of routine tasks
- Maintain comprehensive program documentation to include TSA deliverable items, client tracking information, operational records, and internal program documents
- Identify challenges to program performance; escalate challenges to the attention of MSA leadership, then develop go-to-plans as needed, and ensure successful implementation
- Provide on-going status reports and summary reports as needed to MSA management and the clients
- Troubleshoot technical issues; escalate more serious issues to the appropriate area for resolution
- Successfully collaborate with other MSA departments on projects, investigations, etc.
- Maintain close communication with all clients regarding daily program compliance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects of varying scopes
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Proven ability to understand and address issues at the tactical and operational/technical levels
- Ability to provide attentive and prompt response to program needs
- Ability to clearly communicate all project and technical requirements to client while being mindful and understanding of their needs
- Minimum of two (2) years of client-facing experience with a large multinational corporation in a quality assurance or compliance-related role
- Minimum of two (2) years of program and project management experience consisting of multiple projects, varying scopes, and competing priorities
- Must be a US Citizen (pursuant to government clearance requirements)
- Independent analytical problem-solving ability
- Ability to coordinate and manage meetings, including production of detailed meeting minutes
- Ability to analyze documents quickly and accurately
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously while producing quality work in a timely manner
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Demonstrate extreme organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Bacheloras Degree in compliance, business management, operations management, or equivalent work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in law enforcement or a security environment
