JOB GOAL:
To aid and support all students that need the TABE test, Progress test.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Ten (9.25) months (184 days) contract, Pay 802 Grade 02, plus benefits package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based on experience. FLSA: Non-Exempt. Salary Range is based on an eight-hour workday.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma with at least 60 college hours or Associate Degree or have passed the ParaPro Praxis Exam or at least 5 years of experience.
- Demonstrates competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Computer skills are required.
- Possesses positive interpersonal relations skills.
- Commitment to the importance of confidentiality of records.
- Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. - Administers placement test, progress test.
- Maintains such student records as shall be required.
- Keeps testing office neat, quiet, and orderly.
- Shifts to new tasks when priorities change.
- Assists individuals in need of special attention.
- Implements behavior management techniques.
- Assists in data collection.
- Assists students with better clarifying communication in obtaining their GED credential, applying for accommodations.
- Participates in in-services, staffing, faculty meetings, etc.
- Completes daily work schedules as assigned.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Mental Functions, Physical Requirements, and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, go up and downstairs, operate foot and hand controls, use a telephone and write. Occasionally the employee must lift and/or move up to twenty (20) or more pounds. This position requires accurate perceiving of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, handling and working with educational materials and/or objects, and providing oral information. Must have the ability to work for the duration of the daily contracted time period, and to be physically present and at assigned work, with only infrequent unexcused absences, during the contract year. Additional technical skills, knowledge, and abilities may be recommended by the immediate supervisor and approved by the Human Resources Director.
