Participates in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to job responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students

Conduct individual or small group classroom activities based on lesson plans developed by the teacher

In the absence of the classroom teacher, be the main source of information for the substitute

Assists teacher in maintaining discipline and other (non) instructional functions

Demonstrated experience communicating orally and in writing to a range of audiences

Professional experience in private practice or government agency

Experience conducting externally funded research

Experience managing, teaching, and conducting research in a laboratory setting

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Required Licensures, Certifications or other

Supports and/or provides educational presentations involving Animal Ambassadors throughout the Zoo.

Interacts with Zoo visitors courteously and offers proper attention at all times.

COMMUNICATION AND KNOWLEDGE OF CONSERVATION EDUCTION:

Performs all aspects of day-to-day animal husbandry associated with "Ambassador Animals."

Prepare animal diets and determine feeding schedules.

Develops and maintains all animal records, including medical, behavior, feeding, and training.

Demonstrates competence for assigned responsibilities.

Possesses positive interpersonal relations skills.

Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.

Commitment to the importance of confidentiality of records.

Administers placement test, progress test.
