Adult Education Assistant Am/Pb- Plano, Tx

Supports daily instructional and administrative operations.

Notes

• This position pays $15.00/hour.
• 70% Greets and assists students. Assists instructor with daily operations, including assistance in the classroom and intakes and assessments as required by the grant.
• 10% Performs other jobs duties as assigned.
• This is an in-person position and is located in Plano, TX.
• 20% Greets students, provides required data and connects to the correct Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) team member.
• The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday, 830 am to 100 pm.
• Would prefer bilingual (Spanish).

Performance Measurements

• Provides friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all internal and external customers.
• Accurately enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into the computer.
• Complies with all federal and state laws and regulations relating to higher education.
• Demonstrates the Viking Values of balance, clarity, gratitude, service, teamwork, and trust.
• Processes daily jobs within scheduled deadlines.
• Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of the data to be entered.

• Must have ability to use working mathematical knowledge and analyze data and solve problems of a complex nature.
• Six months to two years of similar or related experience is required.
• High School Education or GED is required.
• Extensive experience with all Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Must have diligent work ethic and willingness to work in a team environment.
• College level business coursework and/or experience with an online data reporting system is preferred.
• Excellent typing skills on computer keyboard and accuracy are required.
• Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (student, visitors and vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
• Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.
