The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Admissions Coordinator will be responsible for responding to prospective student inquiries through the secondary application portal, email and phone in a prompt and professional manner. The position will manage the student hosting program, obtain confidential applicant information, assist with screening applicants and other related admissions duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Dean and Director of Admissions, the Admissions Coordinator is responsible for:
Handle confidential applicant and admissions-related information
Provide front-desk customer service and first-line handling of walk-in queries, visiting interviewees, and telephone inquiries.
Provide applicants information, via telephone and email, concerning admissions-and application-related matters
Use electronic application management program (ZAP-AMP) system to review applicant status, record applicant correspondence, and communicate with applicants.
Enter applicant information into the Student Information System (SIS)
Manage transcripts from Parchment and verify grades on required courses
Interact with the Senior Associate Dean of Admissions, the Assistant Dean of Admissions, members of the Admissions Committee, and various departmental and University entities
Use problem solving skills to manage the complex and often competing needs of various constituents
Manage Zoom throughout the interview day and information sessions
Assist with the entire interview process, including setting up interview dates, inviting applicants, scheduling interviews, and utilizing online interview reports through web-based application filters and queries
Coordinate with student volunteers to develop and prepare for the interview season
Assist to manage, supervise, and support Admissions student volunteers for daily interviews and the student hosting program
Serve as the point of contact for interviewees, to guide and assist as needed
Give presentations to applicants during interview day welcome, when needed
Maintain a positive public image for the Admissions Office by working with constituents to problem solve and provide solutions to issues and questions
Participate in the development and coordination of programming for the two-day accepted students Revisit event
Coordinate and provide information sessions for interviewees and admitted students
Work closely with other members of the Admissions team to provide support for application processing, including assisting with
Admissions decision mailings and programs as needed
Assisting with the screening process
Assisting with other varied related Admissions duties

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience required, plus 2 years of related experience
