It is our mission at Rockmart Health, to keep all of our vulnerable residents safe! We are seeking a dedicated, and qualified Admissions Coordinator! The ideal applicant will be hardworking, reliable, detail-oriented, dynamic, and high-motivated. The general purpose of the Admissions Coordinator is to manage the admissions process and communicates the facility's available services to referral sources, including hospital case managers, physician’s offices, other healthcare providers, and the community in general.

- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Range
- $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending upon experience
Responsibilities (not all-inclusive)
- Coordinates patient admission by notifying all departments of anticipated admission.
- Verifies insurance benefits and all payment options.
- Completes records and documentation in accordance with company policy and state and federal guidelines.
- Develop and maintain relationships in the community to advise referral sources of bed availability and ongoing education regarding services provided to meet the daily needs of the community at large.
- Conducts tours of the facility with potential residents/patients and their family members.
- Tracks pre-admission referral activity daily / weekly.
- Coordinates resident/patient referral and approval process.
- Effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assures paperwork is completed on a timely basis.
Qualifications
- Must be familiar with medical terminology.
- Possesses excellent technical assessment and documentation skills, and leadership qualities.
- One or more years’ experience in health care sales/marketing/ insurance or commensurate educations preferred.
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patients.
- Organized and detailed in work performance.
- Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Communications / Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer.
