Youth Protection - Kuujjuaq
STATUS: Temporary full-time (35 h/week)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Youth Protection
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
Functions
Responsible for the operation of the DYP office: mail, photocopying, faxing, writing letters and emails, telephone, ordering materials, filing;
Translates and corrects various documents and reports for the entire clinical team;
Assists the managers and the clinical team in management tasks;
Organizes the material and informational aspects of the department's meetings;
Makes transit and airfare reservations for visitors and employees;
Collaborates in the welcoming and integration of new staff from the management;
Supports the development of the implementation of various electronic signature processes;
Performs various complex administrative tasks as requested by the Director of DYP;
All other related duties.
Qualifications
Perfect French and English, written and spoken; knowledge of Inuktitut would be an asset;
Must have a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in General Administration or Clerical Technician or other appropriate college discipline from a school recognized by the appropriate department. In the absence of a candidate with a DEC, a candidate with a Secondary 5 diploma or an attestation of collegial studies in a related field (min 800hrs) may be considered as a Class 1 Administrative Officer. The applicable salary range will be that which corresponds to the candidate's level of education.
Knowledge of computer softwares, such as word processing (Word) spreadsheets (Excel) and e-mail (Lotus) ;
Knowledge of the standards and regulations of management of the records would be a major asset;
Knowledge of Youth Criminal Justice Act (LSJPA) would be an asset;
Occasional presence on the territory.
Conditions And Benefits
SALARY: Min. $822.50/week Max. $1131.20/semaine
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $203.66 /week
HIGH COST OF LIVING: $61.16/week
RETENTION PREMIUM: $114.98/week
Any employee hired in Quebec more than fifty (50) kilometers from the locality where she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties will be entitled to annual outings and housing. Lodging to be shared if necessary.
