Job Description
Overview
The Administrative Coordinator ensures that the location office runs smoothly without error. This person also coordinates employment related activity at the location level, including but not limited to staffing, compensation, performance reviews, performance coaching documentation, benefits, and training.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the safety program including maintaining the accident/incident files, communicating daily safety topics, completion of safety audits, and completion of accident reviews.
  • Plan and participate in job fairs.
  • Help location management in efforts to maintain a visually appealing location, clean and welcoming for associates & customers.
  • Handle pre-employment screening, including background checks and drug tests.
  • Coordinate benefit enrollment and status changes.
  • Partner with the Store Support Center Human Resources and the Store Manager with policy, procedure, and initiatives.
  • Source and screen candidates, review r e sum e s, and make recommendations.
  • Frequently operate keyboard to enter in information.
  • Maintain updates in Assure, Infor, and Eagle of associate status (hires, terminations, status changes, pay changes, associate discount).
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties.
  • Maintain associate personnel files, attendance records and training tracks.
  • Help drive company initiatives, such as Rural King’s Harvest Card Program, Customer C.A.R.E., RK Plus Protection Plan.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with customers and co-workers (in-person and via electronic devices).
  • File paperwork quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Conduct new associate orientation.
  • Maintain visual communications for location associates.
Qualifications
  • Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • 1+ years of human resources experience preferred in a retail environment.
  • Ability to access and use the in-store computer, scanning system, and wireless handheld unit .
  • Competent knowledge of computer fundamentals including MS Word and Excel.
  • Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
