Job Description
Velocity Staff, Inc. is working with an innovative company in the Technology and IT Security space to identify an outstanding professional Administrative Assistant / Coordinator to join their team on a contract for hire basis. The right candidate would be personable, creative, organized and professional and enjoy learning and the opportunity to grow their career within the organization. He/she would be the first point of contact for guests and would provide a wide range of support in the office ranging from event planning to data base support and more. Hours would be Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm with a once per month 730am - 430pm schedule for a monthly staff meeting. NOTE They are looking for someone who is interested in growing their career and growing internally within the company with a variety of different career paths that can launch from this position!


  • Prepare correspondence, presentations, email communications, and excel spreadsheets.
  • Attend all team meetings as required and provide documentation and minutes as needed.
  • Thinks strategically and is proactive.
  • Greet all visitors and guests, directing them to the appropriate staff member.
  • Maintain database contacts and creates export lists for merging (i.e. roster and badges and seating charts).
  • Help to create and organize happy hours and social events weekly.
  • Responds promptly to shifts in direction, priorities, and schedules.
  • Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Respond to telephone and electronic communications.
  • Uses sound judgment and problem resolution skills, often makes decisions in supervisor’s absence.
  • Develop documentation, presentations, photocopying, faxing, data entry, and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Perform scheduling tasks including calendar coordination; purchase supplies and reserve conference rooms, create security badges, answer the phones as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including professional phone etiquette.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working as an administrative assistant.
  • Able to coordinate several projects to a successful completion with little or no supervision.
  • Reconcile monthly corporate expense reports for payment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners and staff at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.


Velocity Staff, Inc. is working with our client located in Lenexa, KS to identify talented IT Support professionals with experience successfully working in support of Technology Refresh projects. The right person would have strong Hardware and Software support experience and have worked with laptop, desktop and other hardware refresh projects. The opportunity is a short term, contract based position that will last approximately 5-6 weeks. This project based opportunity will work onsite in their HQ location and work as part of a team.


The right person will work as part of a collaborative team to refresh existing equipment and deploy new equipment


He/She will drive software installation as well as drive mapping and troubleshooting issues as they arise


Communicate with IT Support, users, asset management and other stakeholder is regards to status, issues, needs and opportunties

  • Ability to work collaboratively with asset management, business users, IT Support and IT Leadership
  • Experience working in support of IT software and hardware assets including troubleshooting problems and working through resolution
  • Excellent probelm / resolutions skills
  • Working to determine if hardware can be refreshed and re-deployed or needs to be replaced
  • Imaging, software installation and drive mapping experience in a Windows 7 and 10 / Office 365 / ServiceNow / Active Directory / Networked Printers and Multi Functional Devices / Sharepoint etc.
