The Activities Attendantis an integral part of the camper's visit, providing an experience beyond all expectations by fostering enthusiasm, creativity and fun. You will execute and support all aspects of organized activities, social events and camper engagement. The goal is to ensure a high level entertainment during each activity and, make sure staff and participants are engaged and participating in a responsible and safe manner.

BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
  • Provide work related references upon request
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings during summer:
    • On-site work attendance at Woodward PA
      • Summer Camp Season (June 4th - August 26th)
      • Preferred 2-week commitment within Summer camp season
  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
  • Staff housing can be discussed if needed

  • As a requirement of this position, pre-hire criminal history clearances are collected from the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH) system, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Department of Public Welfare, and federal history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.

    • Three daily meals are provided as part of employment

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Ensure a high level entertainment during each activity
  • Assist in routine maintenance and inspections for all equipment
  • Responsible for the safety and vibe of the facilities used around camp
  • Responsible for setting up, instructing, and leading participants through each planed event or activity
  • Assist with guest requests and needs in a timely manner
  • Assist in maintain Woodward safety logs, operational sheets and incident logs
  • Facilities and Equipment
    • Oversee all activities throughout the campus
    • Responsible for the safety and vibe of the facilities used around camp

  • Knowledgeable in working with and engaging youth ages 7-17
  • Attend and engage in weekly meetings to discuss current status, inventory and safety lists
  • Create and initiate accommodations, games and challenges to enhance each participants experience
  • Assist in facilitating guest sign ups and schedules
  • Oversee all activities throughout the campus
  • Support storytelling, social and content ideas for recreation
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience
    • 1+ years of experience working with kids and/or teens
