ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SUPERVISOR
What You'll Do
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager with all financial and accounting activities in accordance with corporate policy. Oversees the activities and operations of the Accounts Receivable department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for executive management. Responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of staff in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The Accounting Supervisor is to obtain revenues, ensure timely payments and accomplish accounting and organizational goals. This position reports directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager.

Responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of staff in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The Accounting Supervisor is to obtain revenues, ensure timely payments and accomplish accounting and organizational goals. This position reports directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
ROLES EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
- Assists in monthly closings & provide a monthly Receivables Aging to list all outstanding balances and collection time frame to management.
- Manage collection activities such as negotiating with past-due accounts, referring accounts to collection agencies, and sending follow-ups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Update receivables by monitoring and coordinating all processing performed on orders that are delivered daily including transactions such as bank remittances.
- Prepare and distribute reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and as-needed basis for upper management on business activities.
- Maintain the A/R ledger for all activity including the billing of groups and hotel.
- Research and respond to chargeback notices.
- Maintain interdepartmental communication and assist with accounting questions and reports.
- Direct, communicate and educate the A/R department on procedures, updates and goals.
- Assist and participate in all company and department training programs as required.
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated team player with a proven track record of multi-tasking abilities
- Highly skilled and proficient at verifying financial or transactional data.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Knowledgeable in financial and accounting procedures and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or 3-5 years related field experience with 1-3 years prior management or supervisory experience.
- Must have proficiency and accuracy with adding machines and computers in addition to strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Previous lodging management system knowledge is preferred (AS400/LMS, Opera, etc.)
- Functional Knowledge of credit card transactions and applicable regulations is preferred.
Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
- Must regularly lift and/move up to 10 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
