Description

Gryphon seeks a skilled AP specialist to join our AP team. You will contribute to the success of our business by processing, tracking, and paying our vendors, consultants, and subcontractors as well as our own staff of 80 scientists and non-technical staff. By managing our payroll and making timely, accurate payments to our vendors and suppliers, you will make an important contribution to our mission to solve complex problems affecting public health and safety.

Duties

• Work collaboratively with various departments to perform month close
• Assist with audits
• Analyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy
• Track and make payments to vendors and service providers and communicate regarding billing and payments
• Enter company expenditures, including payroll, invoices, and purchase orders while confirming compliance and accuracy by reviewing vendor and service agreements
• Assist with credit card transactions and corporate cell phone accounts
• Enter and manage new employee profiles and create new vendor accounts
• Manage staff expense reports for compliance and accuracy

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or other related field
• Ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
• At least 3 years' experience in accounting
• Highly proficient with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple simultaneous tasks
• Proven knowledge of industry-leading accounting software. Unanet preferred.
• Functional knowledge of database and collaboration tools, such as SharePoint

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
