Job Description
Symetra has an exciting new opportunity to join our team as an Accounts Payable Admin!
About The Role
Provides direct support to internal and external customers for processing the day-to-day vendor invoices, assigning, reviewing and directing the work flow, review/approval of new vendor setups, final review on all AP invoices and provide accurate and timely processing and disbursement of vendor obligations in adherence to AP policies and procedures and to ensure the integrity of the financial accounting system.
What You'll Do In This Role
  • Prepare twice weekly and emergency disbursement runs including checks, ACH, wire, and CTV accounts.
  • Provide core level support and complete tasks as required by the need of the department, ad-hoc projects, reports and analysis as requested.
  • Review new vendor setups and vendor master file maintenance.
  • Work in compliance with company policies, internal controls, accounting and regulatory requirements for GAAP and SOX. Assist in providing information/documentation to internal/external customers as needed.
  • Review AP invoices for accuracy of data entry and GL account coding.
  • Prepare daily, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end journal entries.

Compensation
Salary Range: $55,000- $91,700 plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program.
Your Education, Skills And Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with General Ledger Software: Lawson, Hyperion, and Essbase preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working with an electronic invoice approval workflow
  • 3 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Team player and self-starter and ability to work in a professional, fast paced environment
