The Role

The Accounting Manager will provide value-added support within the Company’s accounting/finance team. Working collaboratively and cross functionally, on a daily basis to keep the back-office engines running smoothly. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports/statements. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. The ideal candidate will be able to process high-volume data, have an eye for detail and be meticulous in everyday tasks. This individual will help to improve and streamline current manual systems and processes with the help of tools and technology, contributing to the Company’s overall success and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and participate in monthly business reviews within finance & accounting and the core leadership team
• Accepts responsibility for the organizational goals by taking ownership of new and different duties and identifying new opportunities within the Accounting & Finance department
• Analyze accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and other accounting documents for accuracy and completeness
• Work with cross-functional teams on special projects as needed
• Responsible for the full accounting cycle including all accounting operations, A/R, A/P, G/L accounting and journal entries within set timelines
• Preparation of management reports, budget variance analysis, accruals, account reconciliations and appropriate variance explanations highlighting issues and recommendations to VP & CFO
• Deliver high quality work with integrity
• Manage the integration between Bill.com and Sage 100 (our ERP system), including importing of A/P invoices from e-mail inbox and reconciliation between the two systems
• Assist VP of Finance & Acctg with year-end financial audits and annual tax filings, coordinating tasks internally and interacting with external CPAs as needed
• Work closely with Operations team on new customer on-boarding, inventory valuation, freight calculations and managing 3rdParty Manufacturing wire remittances
• Lead A/R cash receipts, check depositing and maintain bank reconciliation for accurate cash flow forecasting

Qualifications

• Proactive and results driven
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• CPG experience a strong plus
• Strong, proven leadership skills and highly developed interpersonal skills
• Bachelors ‘degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Comfort using multiple systems to resolve issues and access data. Excellent MS Excel skills.
• Work successfully in a team environment, as well as, independently
• ERP experience required, Sage 100 and Exceedra Professional TPM Tool, a plus.
• 4-6 years in an accounting role with A/R, A/P and G/L experience

Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications, or professional licenses.
