Accounting Intern Jobs

Position Summary:

This position will support our Finance Department in areas including general accounting, accounts receivable, leases, audit and the general ledger.

Qualifications Required:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, detail oriented and ability to multi-task
• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year college degree program
• Strong technical and PC skills (e.g., Excel)
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment

Qualifications desired:

• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting concepts
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist in financial analysis.
• Assist in the reconciliation of accounts receivable and the preparation of aging reports.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Assist in processing monthly billings, record and reconcile cash and credit card receipts.
• Assist in month-end closing and perform general accounting responsibilities.
• Adhere to company risk management/control framework.
• Assist in providing documentation to external and internal auditors.

Physical demands and work environment: Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
