In this position, you will be responsible for playing an essential role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), general data entry, and according to invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers. • Primary backup for the payroll procedure and processing
• Process and maintain Purchase Orders in CostPoint accounting system
• Work with field investigators on any questions
• Assist Accounts Payroll Specialists with AP processes as needed
• Maintain employee payroll file updates in payroll system
• Primary backup for accounts payable procedure and processing
• All other duties as assigned
• Assist with contract investigator travel expense reports per travel policy guidelines
• Primary backup for the contract investigator 1099 payments
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls
• Maintain accounts payable vendor file changes and updates

Requirements

Education, Experience and Skills

• Detail oriented
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with Deltek and ADP is a plus
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• While in process of obtaining Top Secret clearance, must be able to obtain interim clearance and/or agency approvals. Upon receipt of Top Secret clearance, must be able to maintain active Top Secret clearance and all agency approvals required of their position.
• A aptitude to effectively learn a company-specific accounting system
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• 3 years of related work experience
• Adaptable to different situations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited 4 year college/university
