This is a 100% remote position.


Intent:


The Accounting Clerk is responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks such as recording and processing expenses, payroll and other financial transactions. The Accounting Clerk provides clerical and accounting support while maintaining accurate records and files, processing invoices and managing data. Responsible for utilizing software to process sales tax, payments for 1099 contractors, and some office management duties.


Description & Influence:


  • Prepare financial statements, general ledger, balance books, A/P, A/R
  • Prepare sales tax reporting for POS system (Shopify)
  • Process payroll for 1099 contractors
  • Process vendor invoices for payment
  • Update and maintain accounting records
  • Process reimbursement payments for employees and reconcile corporate credit card statements.
  • Maintain Corporate expense reimbursement procedure alongside Human Resources.
  • Manage physical accounting files.
  • General Office management duties such as filing, making copies, and mailing packages.


Background & Experience:


  • Successfully work in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Team player with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Very proficient in Quickbooks.
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethics and discretion with prior experience handling confidential information.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize with minimal direction.
  • Excellent Excel & math skills
  • 3+ years’ experience as an accounting clerk or bookkeeper in a fast growth company.
  • Bachelor's degree, accounting major.
  • Knowledge of state sales tax processing and accounting.
  • Experienced working remotely.
