Payroll Clerk


Location: Broomfield, CO
(Hybrid Position – Mon, Tue, Wed in office & Thur, Fri remote)

This role will be responsible for processing new hires, terminations and payroll changes along with maintaining our time keeping system (UTA-Ultimate Time and Attendance) in order to help research and resolve calculation/system issues.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Cross train on the procedures for making payroll changes and the proper steps in completing a payroll cycle
  • Communicate with Payroll Associates on pay changes and/or send documents for audit purposes.
  • Run Adhoc reports as needed for managers and supervisors
  • Process Verification of Employment (VOE)
  • Train on UKG Pro (UltiPro) to process New Hires, Terminations, and Employee Changes that include pay rate changes, promotions, cost center, supervisor and shift changes.
  • Works closely with Payroll Associate to ensure employees that are out on STD/PLOA/PPL are properly coded within the guidelines of our policy.
  • Set-up and maintain employee work schedules.

REQUIRED SKILLS
/ ABILITIES:
  • Basic knowledge in payroll (is a plus)
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency
  • Ability to work successfully with limited supervision
  • Commitment for learning new skills and proactively strengthens current knowledge/skills
  • At least a high school diploma (must have)
  • Flexibility to adapt to constant changes
  • Strong attention to detail to accurately complete work assignments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to operate ten-key calculator by touch
  • Basic skills on Microsoft Word and Excel (VLOOKUP)

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Bonus target range: 5%
  • Annual base Hourly range: $43,000 - $48,000
