The Accounting Clerk at GuideStar Eldercare (GSE) plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
- Prepare payroll and accounts payable reports by compiling data summaries from information in Paychex (payroll) and Sage Intact (accounting) systems.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employees’ information
- Serve as primary contact for questions regarding payroll operations and procedures, as well as accounts payable inquiries.
- Process transactions and issue checks
- Process W-2 forms for all GSE employees at the end of each calendar year.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Provide payroll, accounts payable, and administrative/accounting support to the Finance/Accounting department.
- Assist in all activities regarding the management of employee compensation, including payroll, expense reports, etc
- Control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Update payroll records and maintain payroll operations. Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Must have reliable transportation between home and office
- UKG Ready (Kronos) experience a plus
- 1+ years Payroll-related experience
- Trustworthy, efficient, and organized
- 1+ years Accounts Payable
- Able to pass pre-employment checks, including background check, motor vehicle record review, credit report, and drug screening.
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Healthcare or service industry background (preferred)
- Experience with payroll and accounting software. UKG Ready (Kronos) and Sage Intacct preferred.
