JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT W/ ADVANCEMENT

Hands-on JR. ACCOUNTANT professional responsible for the accurate processing and reporting of all financial transactions. Responsibilities will include cash flow and accounts receivable management, budget oversight, review of project-based expenditures and accounts payable activities, assist with the generation of weekly/monthly/quarterly/ annual cash flow and financial reports for management.

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Audit inventory levels and transactions and assist with physical audits
• Assist in the preparation of reports for management project-based criteria such as P&L, cash flow, performance against budgets and sales forecasts, accounts payable and accounts receivable aging
• Ensure compliance with applicable customer and government contractual requirements
• Monitor and reconcile applicable GL and balance sheet accounts
• Establish procedures for optimizing client billing and ensuring maintenance of a positive cash flow
• Review accounts payable activities to ensure accurate and timely processing
• Work with Controller to set up, manage and reconcile fixed assets
• Ensure all invoices are generated and submitted and track until payment received.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliations

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT QAULIFICATIONS:

• Cost accounting experience a plus
• Proficient with an ERP or MRP system
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related discipline
• Experience working for a government subcontractor a plus
• MS AX ERP systems a plus
• 2-3 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
