JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Health Policy and Administration (HPA) in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State, seeks a candidate for an Academic Program Coordinator. The role requires attention to detail, focus, and the ability to multitask.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide support for and execute other department administrative tasks as assigned.
- Manage student inquiries and help resolve student issues as they arise.
- Respond to moderately complex graduate issues or questions regarding the graduate programs and University, College, and Department policies and procedures.
- Provide support to the Executive Director and Programs Manager of the MHA Program.
- Track and record all expenditures, and assist with budget planning and forecasting.
- Serve on program and department committees providing administrative support, taking and distributing minutes, carry out committee tasks as assigned.
- Monitor, track, and adhere to deadlines.
- Be the first point of contact for the Masters of Health Administration (MHA) Program for students, faculty, and internal and external candidates.
- Provide assistance and support for the development, planning, preparation, and evaluation of graduate programs.
- Provide support as needed to the Ph.D./MS programs.
In addition, the final candidate should have the following:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to be a team player and work well independently.
- Experience with O365, Lionpath, 25Live, and SIMBA is preferred.
- A commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality.
- Experience with University processes and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, focus, and the ability to multitask.

Education and Experience
Typically requires a High School Diploma or higher, plus three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
