Job Description
Teachers On Demand, INC is looking for a Long Term Substitute to train as a teacher with our amazing team of academic advisors. If you have a passion for working with children and are looking for a long-term career with an amazing group of people, we encourage you to apply.

Compensation (Daily)


  • Doctorate Degree - $190.00
  • 4-year/Masters/Specialist Degree - $170.00
  • Professional Certification (any state) - $200.00


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Instruct students in the basic skills needed for daily living and independent living
  • Collaborate with other teachers and support the school in its efforts to improve student outcomes
  • Provide feedback to parents on their children's performance
  • Follow established curriculum, and deliver the provided lesson plans
  • Establish professional relationships with students and parents
  • Maintain a clean classroom and comply with health and safety regulations


Requirements


  • Knowledge of the Ohio Department of Education model curriculum and Ohio’s New Learning Standards
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree (required)
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training
  • SPED experience
  • Previous experience working with young students in an educational setting
  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks
  • Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles
  • Valid teaching certificate or license (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and other staff members
