Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Manager (Level K) to support the 787 Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.


This leader will possess the skills to establish strong team engagement and lead BSC Quality team members in the implementation of new and ongoing initiatives. This role requires the ability to foster strong relationships across organizations partnering for Quality effectiveness and people development.


This role requires a reliable and competent professional who possess the ability to work well across diverse groups, with the passion for developing people. This role also requires the candidate to have strong business insight and experience with motivating and driving First Time Quality for 787.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
  • Develops and implements business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
  • Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.


This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
  • 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience using excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with Senior and Executive leadership
  • 3+ years of formal/informal leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple complex projects while complying with process requirements and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Summary pay range: $107,950 - $146,050
