2Nd Shift Production Supervisor

Position Summary

Responsible for the management, development and motivation of workforce personnel in an environment to ensure success of the production process. This includes but is not limited to confirming all products are generated to the Company's specifications, production goals and deadlines are achieved to meet On-Time-In-Full requirements, ensuring all areas of operation function as safely and efficiently.

Position Expectations

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel.
• Other items as designated by management.
• Collect and use production data to identify and correct anomalies within processes.
• Must be able to perform effective problem solving (Brainstorming, 5 why, fishbone...) on issues that occur within the production processes.
• Create and revise production systems and procedures.
• Maintain quality standards by adhering to and enforcing organization standards.
• Expected to manage company resources to ensure the most effective operating and cost procedures are utilized.
• Organize and monitor workflow in production area(s).
• Maintain effective communication with team members and management staff.
• Responsible for timekeeping reporting for all direct reports.
• Build a strong team environment by initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within department(s).
• Work closely with other supervisors, managers and lead personnel to ensure production handovers are clear and concise.
• Train employees and plan out their personal growth opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Complete set production plan by monitoring and assigning personnel to accomplish business goals.
• Communicate job expectations, appraise job performance, coach and enforce policies and procedures.

Education

Bachelor Degree preferred or 5+ years of equivalent experience.

Skills & Abilities

• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment with experience working towards a goal with an achieved result that met or exceeded the goal.
• Must be honest, energetic, organized, results oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work any shift including weekends as needed.
• Supervisory experience is strongly preferred or demonstration of specific levels of responsibility comparable to a supervisor.
