Sole Athletic Director or Job Share (Extra Duty Position)

• Seek outside funding for athletic program to help offset equipment and transportation costs
• Distribute and maintain copies of appropriate forms such as insurance forms, parent permission forms and school policy information forms
• Other duties as assigned by the school principal or designee
• Conduct regular coaches’ meetings
• Coordinate all sports activities for the district.
• Monitor games and maintain crowd control
• Maintain ongoing communication with the building principal about the athletic program
• Ensure that the district’s Extracurricular Activity policies are followed
• Regularly communicate with coaches
• Reports to building principal and Administrator of Human Resources
• Coordinate transportation
• Hire and schedule referees
• Coordinate purchasing of awards and equipment as necessary
• Intervene with coaches, players, and parents when issues of concern arise
• Communicate with the school district and/or building principal to ensure fields, courts, grounds, and equipment are ready for scheduled sporting events and practices
• Schedule all games
