About The Legal Team
Amplify has a growing legal department working on a broad range of matters, including commercial, legal operations, intellectual property, and government contracting projects. We are seeking an enthusiastic intern to join our team this summer who is interested in developing skills in those areas and willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in to work with a busy legal team supporting a fast growing, impactful K-12 education technology and publishing company.
About The Internship
Our summer program is a full-time (up to 40 hours / week) paid virtual internship with a negotiable period up to a maximum of 10 weeks between June and September.
Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the legal team
  • Assist in developing and maintaining our legal contracts database and department trackers
  • Support the product and commercial teams and collaborate with other teammates regularly
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Assist with reviewing and revising company policies and procedures
  • Conduct legal research and assist with drafting legal policies and memos
About The Candidate
You may be a great fit for this internship if you:
  • Completed your first or second year of ABA-accredited law school (required).
  • Pay close attention to detail, work proactively to problem-solve, and have experience balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Are a proactive self-starter who can work collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately.
  • Have a strong work ethic with a desire to expand your skill set and gain exposure to commercial and government contract projects, intellectual property matters and a variety of other areas that routinely arise.
What We Offer
This role is eligible for participation in a lucrative 401(k) plan. The gross hourly rate for this role is $25.00
