0.2 Fte (Part-Time) Music Teacher For High School Guitar, Ukulele & Bass Through Songs & Songwriting Class- (Sy23-24)

Brookline High School is seaking an enthusiastic and committed music teacher, for a part time position (0.2FTE) to teach a new course called "Guitar, Ukulele & Bass through Songs & Songwriting, Level One and Level Two." Each section (level one and level two) will meet for half the school year, four days a week for 55 minutes each class. While we anticipate both sections will have a range of student experience levels, level one is geared towards students with little or no prior experience and level two is for intermediate through advanced level studnts.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualities:

• Ability to differentiate the curriculum to reach and support all students
• Is a team player, works well with colleagues within and beyond the Music and Performing Arts department
• Prior teaching experience, preferably at the high school level and with group classes
• Commitment to inclusive teaching practices that bring all students on board
• An understanding of and passion for musical forms and songwriting from a variety of popular genres and eras
• High level of experience and ability on guitar, ukulele and/or bass
