High School Biology Teacher

A Biology teacher at Blue Hills can expect to: ?Work with a diverse student body from nine surrounding communities to support the students academic and social-emotional needs?Design and implement lessons that promote students proficiency in high school biology?Prepare students for the Science and Technology/Engineering (STE) MCAS?Assume responsibility for the academic progress of all students?Utilize online resources to expand connections to the sciences?Work with department members and the Academic Director to ensure alignment to current Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district initiatives?Promote a school-wide culture of respect and responsibility?Participate in professional development opportunities to learn new and broaden existing skills?The candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and may be assigned other duties by the administration.
