Knowledge of public school system or experience navigating post-secondary education.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, FUNCTIONS, AND CAPABILITIES

Provide school reintegration services such as mentoring, academics support, skill building and other individualized and group supports,

Significant experience with youth who may be experiencing challenges to attendance and school connection

Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds in a supportive role.

Experience in creating successful partnerships between organizations or groups.

Valid Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification required for in-state applicants

Manages enrollment requests, class assignments, and class loads for virtual courses.

Administrative or management experience required, charter school management a plus

Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to goal-directed management and accountability

Work with school staff and Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS) to create, implement, manage, and monitor the School Improvement Plan;

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Ensure all state reporting is completed correctly and on time;

Facilitates use of resources for meeting educational, behavioral and social-economic needs of students.

Organizes time and resources to meet responsibilities and maintain appropriate documentation.

Uses assessment date about the student and his/her environment(s) in developing appropriate interventions and programs.

Gather data and provides assessment to determine student needs and assure the implementation of appropriate services for exceptional children.

Provides intervention to students to support the teaching process and to maximize learning and adjustment.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office & Google products

Strong public relations and communication skills with students, guardians, and other stakeholders

Minimum Degree Level: Bachelor’s Degree

Ability to set goals and develop long- and short-range plans to achieve excellence

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, teachers, support staff, guardians, and community members

Performing a wide range of managerial responsibilities including, but not limited to: staff supervision, scheduling, technology and facilities.

Ability to meet state Education & Licensing Requirements.

Highly skilled in working with students with diverse needs.

May represent school at meetings, conferences, hearings, and other public forums; gathers citizen and parental input.
